Been working like a dog on fire in the studio lately. I have a show in Swainsboro, GA that opens next week. Aren't you excited?! Oh, you're *so* sweet!
Today is the final stupid stuff - building little hanging contraptions for the works on paper, framing a painting, and building some hangers for this guy:
Which is going to a separate show, and will be installed in a restaurant in South Georgia along with about 20 of my friends' works as well. However, the actual name of the town escapes me right now.....
...I'm sure it will come to me sooner or later....
In the meantime, I'm moving from my house in Winterville (where the above was photographed), into the Athens metro area (if you could call it that). I'll miss being out there, with all the chickens and friendly horses, but I won't miss the 20 minute drive between my studio and a home-cooked meal, not to mention the staggering cost of gas. From my new place in town, I should be able to walk or bike to the studio, daily; which means pictures taken while riding my bike!
I know you're excited, but really, you've got to calm down.
If anyone needs me, I'll be at Micheal's, buying clothespins and fixative while sniffing fake flowers.
